#Giving back
Trends Salon + Spa is committed to the community we serve.
Here are just a few of the amazing organizations and events we support.
We Adopted a Park!
Our team decided to adopt Wade Bowl Park (directly behind our salon) in efforts to help keep our community clean and enjoyable. When we first adopted the park, we re-painted the playground equipment and touched up the pavilion and picnic tables. We now get together multiple times throughout the year to pick up trash (and hang out in the park for a bit afterwards)!
Earth Month Clean Water Project Fundraiser
In April 2021, our team walked 3.7 miles together to raise money for clean water projects in Nepal, India, Madagascar, and Ethiopia.

2021 Tree Planting
In June of 2021, the Trends staff got together with Mayor Jim Paine and some awesome ladies from the Parks and Recreation, and Forestry Department to celebrate the planting of our Bur Oak Tree! You can find our tree in Billings Park at the main point towards the swing.
Planting a tree has endless environmental benefits and we hope that each of you have the opportunity to see all of the beautiful trees, including ours, in Billings Park.

Sending Off the Boy's Swim Team
Most years, some of our Trends stylists volunteer to stay late and bleach out the Superior High School's Boy's Swim Team. This is one of the team's traditions to get them ready for their big swim meet! They're always so much fun to have in the salon.
Fighting For Friends Fundraiser
In 2019, Trends Salon + Spa hosted the Midnight Monster Mash to raise money for the Fighting For Friends Non-profit Organization. Fighting For Friends was started by Evy, a child from Superior, to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research. We were able to raise over $9,000 at our Midnight Monster Mash Fundraiser!
The Black + White Affair 2014 - Party for a Purpose
The 8th Annual Black & White Affair was held at Barker’s Island Inn and was a great location for this event. The community came together and donated some awesome gifts for the silent auction. There was also a very successful 50/50 raffle. Barker’s Island Inn provided the hors d’oeurves and donated their own Captain Barker’s Pale Ale for samples throughout the night. Saratoga Liquor donated the wine and Chila Orchata that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We were lucky enough to have Cory Bonneville from Sounds Unlimited to be our MC for the evening. The Trends staff provided chair massages, hand massages, paraffin dips, and a sensory journey station. We were able to raise over $5,000 to benefit the Superior School District's Anti-Bullying campaign. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend or donate to this event!
Children With Hair Loss
If you come to Trends for a haircut and choose to donate your hair, we will send the hair donation to Children With Hair Loss for you. Children With Hair Loss is a non-profit organization that provides the highest quality hair prosthetics for financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Most recipients have lost their hair due to an auto-immune condition known as alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. Others have suffered severe burns, radiation treatment, or any number of dermatological conditions resulting in long term or permanent hair loss.
Please consider donating your hair! Donations must be a minimum of 8 inches in length. However, many recipients are requesting long-hair wigs... Consider growing your hair out to 12+ inches before cutting so that those long-hair wigs can be made.
